Standards
EN ISO 20471:2013
High-visibility clothing like vests, jackets, and trousers with the EN 20471 rating are tested for their ability to make the wearer easily seen in all light conditions, by measuring the brightness and reflectivity of materials and ensuring durability. This means the clothing helps you remain visible to drivers and machinery operators, significantly reducing the risk of accidents.
Test results
- Reflective Strip Area Grade 2
This garment provides an intermediate level of visibility for use in moderate-risk environments. It is suitable for work near traffic with speeds up to 60 km/hour, featuring a specified area of fluorescent material and reflective strips.
- Reflective Strip Area Grade 3
Provides the highest level of visibility for high-risk environments, such as working near fast-moving traffic (>60 km/h) or in dark/low light conditions. Garments cover the torso and have reflective strips on sleeves or full-length legs for 360-degree visibility.
- Reflective Strip Area Grade 2
EN 342
Protective clothing like coveralls and two-piece suits with the EN 342 rating are tested for their ability to protect against cold environments, including thermal insulation, wind resistance, and optionally water penetration. This means the clothing helps keep you warm, dry, and safe in temperatures of -5°C and below, reducing the risk of body cooling.
EN 343:2019
Protective clothing with the EN 343 rating is tested for resistance to water penetration and water vapour, meaning its waterproofness and breathability. This ensures you stay dry and comfortable in rain, snow, and humid conditions, helping you perform better outdoors.
Test results
- Breathability Class 1
This garment protects against rain and foul weather. It has the lowest level of breathability in its class, making it suitable for short-duration tasks or work with low physical activity to help keep you dry.
- Downpour X
Provides certified protection against rain, fog, and ground moisture for everyday use. This garment is tested for waterproofness and breathability but has not undergone the optional, final simulated downpour test for a finished garment.
- Waterproofness Class 3
Provides the highest level of protection against rain, snow, and fog for extended periods. This garment is ideal for working in heavy rain and other harsh weather conditions, keeping you dry and comfortable.

At 5'11" and around 135lbs, the small size fits me perfectly, like it was custom made. I actually owned this jacket previously when working as an airport ramp agent. I wore it in very cold conditions and really put it through its paces loading tons of luggage, trash bins, gear, and so on. The quality is absolutely superb – without a doubt, it's the best jacket I've ever owned. The only downside is the zipper. It's a bit strange and not ideal, but you get the hang of it after a while, and it's no longer an issue.

The jacket is really well-made and the quality seems excellent. I had to go up one size from what I usually wear. Being a taller woman (I'm 5'10"), I think maybe it's designed more for men, because the sleeves are quite long on me - maybe half a foot too long. I just tuck my hands up a bit, but that might not suit everyone. I spend a lot of time working outdoors, and this coat is super warm, even when it's around 30°F. Also, take some time to adjust the hood when you first get it. It's a bit fiddly, but it's worth the effort.
