• EN 12477:2001

  Welding gloves with the EN 12477 rating are tested for protection against molten metal splashes, flames, various types of heat, and mechanical risks. This ensures your hands and wrists are safely protected during welding, allowing you to choose gloves suited for either high protection or greater dexterity.

• EN ISO 21420:2020

  Protective gloves, mittens, and arm protectors with the EN 21420 rating are tested for general requirements like chemical safety, comfort, fit, and dexterity. This ensures the products themselves are safe to wear, will not cause harm, and allow you to work effectively.

• EN 388:2016

  Gloves and arm protectors with the EN 388 rating are tested for protection against mechanical risks like abrasion, cuts, tears, punctures, and sometimes impact. This helps you choose protective gear with the right level of durability and safety for tasks that involve these hazards.

  • Abrasion Resistance Level 2

    Withstands moderate rubbing and friction, offering good protection for tasks involving handling rough materials.

  • Cut Resistance, Coup Test Level 2

    Offers low-level protection against cuts from objects like box cutters or sharp edges during general tasks.

  • Cut Resistance, ISO 13997 Level X

    Provides the highest level of cut protection, passing a specialized test for materials that dull blades.

  • Puncture Resistance Level 1

    Provides basic protection against punctures from blunt objects like splinters, not sharp points like needles.

  • Tear Resistance Level 2

    Offers moderate resistance against snagging or catching on rough objects, preventing small rips from growing.

• EN 407:2004

  Gloves and other hand protection with the EN 407 rating are tested for protection against heat and/or fire, including flame, contact heat, and molten metal splashes. This helps you choose products that offer a specific level of defense against various thermal hazards, ensuring your hands stay safe.

  Test results

  • Burning Behaviour Level 4

    Provides the highest level of protection against catching fire when exposed to a naked flame. After the flame is removed, the material will stop burning within 2 seconds and stop glowing within 5 seconds.

  • Heat Contact Level 1

    Provides protection when briefly touching hot objects. Certified for contact with surfaces up to 100°C for at least 15 seconds, offering short-term protection against burns from items like hot cookware or machinery parts.

  • Heat Convection Level 3

    Provides a good level of protection by delaying the transfer of heat from a flame for at least 10 seconds. This makes it suitable for tasks where your hands might be briefly exposed to open flames.

  • Metal Splash Resistance Level 3

    Offers strong protection against small splashes of molten metal, like those from welding or grinding. This glove can withstand a high number of hot metal droplets before the heat is able to pass through to your skin.

  • Molten Metal Resistance Level X

    This product has not been tested for resistance against splashes of molten metal. It provides no claimed protection and should not be used for welding, foundry work, or other tasks with molten metal risks.

  • Radiant Heat Level X

    This product was not tested for protection against radiant heat, which is intense heat that can be felt from a distance. It does not claim to offer protection for tasks involving prolonged exposure to radiant heat sources.
